How to Get Shiny Koraidon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Hi Pokemon fans! I’ve got some bad news for those of you hoping to get the rare shiny versions of the new legendaries Miraidon and Koraidon in the new games. No Shiny Miraidon or Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet Yet. I know it’s a total bummer, but let me explain why it’s not possible right now.

You Can’t Reset for Shiny Miraidon or Koraidon

When you start your adventure, you get either Miraidon or Koraidon really early on to ride around the Paldea region. And I’m sure your first thought was to keep resetting the game until you got one of those awesome shinies. Makes total sense – you could do that to get shiny legendaries in older Pokemon games.

But not this time around. No matter how many resets you try, the shiny versions of Miraidon and Koraidon don’t actually exist in the game code yet. The only way some people have gotten them is by hacking their game, which isn’t official. And since you get the legends so fast at the start, there’s no chance to try soft resetting over and over.

It’s a total bummer, I know. Let’s hope someday the developers give us a legit way to get our hands on shiny Miraidon and Koraidon!

Other Legendaries Might Be Shiny-Locked Too

To make matters worse, two other new Pokemon – Gimmighoul and Gholdengo – are also shiny-locked. There were also rumors that you’d be able to catch older legendary Pokemon from past games. But so far, no one knows if those legends are shiny-locked too or if players can reset for their shinies.

I was really hoping we could find shiny versions of Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Solgaleo, and others. But for now, it’s unclear if any legendaries can be shiny except Miraidon and Koraidon. Hopefully future updates make some shiny legends available!

New Shiny Hunting Rules Make It Tougher

On top of the shiny-locked legendaries, Game Freak also changed up how the entire shiny hunting system works in these new games. Unlike past games, there are zero signs when you encounter a shiny Pokemon – no sparkles, sounds, online casinos österreich nada. So you’ve gotta check each and every Pokemon really carefully, or you’ll probably miss a shiny walking around.

The starter Pokemon are also shiny-locked at first when you pick them, destroying any chance of quick resets for shinies in the beginning. Lame move, Game Freak!

Don’t Lose All Hope Though!

While the situation looks sad for shiny hunters right now, don’t lose all faith just yet! In older Pokemon games, mythical and legendaries that were initially shiny-locked later became obtainable officially through special events and distributions by the developers.

For example, in Pokemon Sword and Shield players could finally hunt for shinies of Zacian and Zamazenta by battling them in Max Raid events. So there’s still a chance that someday in the future we may get official events to hunt shiny Miraidon and Koraidon too! We just have to wait patiently.

Though since there haven’t been any game updates or patches yet, I wouldn’t expect any news too soon. But you never know – anything could happen!

The Hunt Goes On For Now

Even though we can’t ride around on colorful shiny versions of the new legendary Pokemon yet, there are still plenty of other amazing shinies out there in Paldea for us to hunt! It may take more patience and focus now, but finding a shiny you’ve put effort into is an awesome feeling.

So don’t lose all hope, my fellow trainers! Our quest to catch ’em all continues, even without those elusive shiny Miraidon and Koraidon for the time being. Let me know if you have any other questions! And someday, we’ll add those magnificent sparkling legends to our collections.

Conclusion

That’s the deal when it comes to getting shiny versions of the new box legends in these games. I totally get that collectors are online casinos schweiz disappointed they can’t hunt down shiny Miraidon and Koraidon yet. But we can’t get too down – there’s a good chance Game Freak makes them available one day! We just have to keep on hunting for now.
